I just read "Cider planet : exploring the producers, practices, and unique traditions of craft cider and perry from around the world" by Claude Jolicoeur. Its mostly about cider and perry, he does mention that calvados, from Normandy has some pear and that this is very common. I had not heard or read that. The author is from Quebec so French is not a problem for him. My French is not good enough to order in a restaurant so reading about it in a French book is way beyond my abilities. Has anyone heard or read about that?
His book is great if you want to learn more about Cider and Perry all over the world.
Calvados, has some pear?
