Good for you, keep at it. Myself was clean for 21 years then my teen age boy started. But last May after 10 years I just stopped.

Keep at it , Chancey, its a hard one to kick, took me many years of trying to get off that band wagon.
Smoked from about 15 years old, 6-7 years now since I kicked the habit once and for all.
There isnt enough money in this world to make me ever light one up again.

Good on ya, Chauncey. For every year that passes after you quit your lungs improve to a point where they behave like you never smoked. 👍🏼

Hang in there, Chauncey. You can stop smoking for good. It is not easy. When I stopped (and it took me several attempts) just getting a whiff of second hand smoke would make me crave to light one up. Now I can’t stand the smell of that nasty stuff. 10+ years now smoke free.
🎱 The struggle is real and this rabbit hole just got interesting.

Chin up. Have a drop. Another day smoke free.

Good onya Chancey . It’s a fucker .
I tried a few times….
But I wasn’t ready

For me it ended being a goal.

I happened one day to say to my Mum in conversation I needed a meter for work .
Mentioned it was about how much I spent on Fags a year .

She got me . Told Me she’d buy me the meter ,but when she come to see me , she wanted the money back .

Damn…..I was a nicotine Junkie …. I would
See someone butt out ond pick it up

But Ma’s deal got me ….. no way I could fuck with that .
Man I would strap Nicotine patches to my sweaty arms with gaffa tape . I would suck back Peppermint oil just to get a hit ……. Do what you gotta do Chancey .

It’s good on the other side mate .

Keep at it. It's a fuckin time-suck habit.
I also quite for 9 years, and picked it back up. Smoked a few years, then the damned vape. One day I was driving and realized I had that fuckin box in my hand more often then I didn't, and chucked it out the window. It was a tuff few days, but I got past it.

@Chauncy - Congratulations! It’s a worthwhile decision and I see a oattern here. I quit the smokes and vape on and off too for years at a time. Back on the vape now which is much better. Last time I quit the vape I lowered the nic level over a year or so and still vaped 0% for at least six months.

One to two packs a day is rough after a while. You can do it :)

Cheers,
Jonny

I haven’t heard a loogie called that in quite a while.
Fantastic descriptor though

Keep up the good work brother

How's it going Chauncey? Still rid of them damn things? I quit many times over my illustrious carer of smoking but have finally quit for good, coming up on 12 years of not depending on them evil bastards. It's a tough battle hope you are still on the good side. OMD
