With increased excise tax being put on alcohol here in New Zealand and no wages coming in (chucked in the day job to set up an orchard), I thought it was time to save some cash by making my own. So after spending several thousand dollars on equipment, I’m picking I should break even in about 10-15 years and the savings start rolling in, cant wait!
Having done my first stripping run with a Grainfather G30 and Alembic Dome, more questions pop to mind, more web searches undertaken and more hits on Home Distiller. Some of the content and contributions are awesome. About time I signed up and can ask questions myself. I might even be able to answer some one day, very very simple ones. Gotta have aspirations.
