Mr Mauser definitely designed the most influential action of all time. I doubt if anyone could count all the Mauser - action rifles in the world today.

I nabbed this snapshot from a video, a long time ago. Mauser K98 stocks apparently (in Norway?); if they are barreled or not I can not really tell.

I have an Israeli K98 that was refinished and re-barreled to .308. Nice gun. I also have my grandfather's 1917 Enfield (made by Remington in 1917) – that employs an action built upon the Mauser patent. The US Army's M1903 Springfield also used a licensed version of the Mauser patent.

I don't know much about gunsmithing, but I use to be good at refinishing stocks. It's my impression that strength wise, the K98 and M1903 actions pale in comparison to the 1917 Enfield action. It's like the closing of a 1960 Volkswagen car door, compared to closing the door of a Carbondale bank vault. The Enfield may not look as ergonomic though. The good old days when you could buy any one of these rifles as war surplus @ $5.00 each, are long gone too.

Yup the 1914/17 enfeilds are good’n also. I’d almost bet that the only action built more was the mosin nagat. The ak series are up there also I’d bet

And 100 years ago fit and finish was a higher priority. Nowadays unless you wanna sell a child or 3 fit and finsh plumb sucks ass. I haven’t pocked up a firearm made in last 30 years that was well fit n finished. I like black guns. But a fine rifle or shotgun should be hand rubbed oil finish.

Nice!! Very nice. Some beautiful weapons you have there. I would love to own something as old as 1917. The oldest weapon I have is a 1959 bolt action 20 ga. Made for Sears. It's in perfect condition. Not really worth a lot of money. But I like it. Was my wife's late uncle's. But I'm hoping to add a few more guns to the safe over the next few weeks. Will keep y'all posted on what I end up buying.

I love my snake collection for my revolvers (anaconda, python and the king cobra). And I love my Henry golden boys (22 and 357). I also love my Henry mares leg (22) and I have the Henry Axe (410) which is wicked fun to shoot. (especially pumpkins, over sized zucchini from the garden, just about anything really.)

I'm gonna have to look into that Dragon claw bolt thing. That looks really neat.
Ya gotta love Henrys I have a 44 mag and I bought 2 Golden boys for 2 of my grand daughters, so I guess they are Golden girls for Christmas 2020 both custom engraved those things are THE smoothest actions of any gun ever I love them and they will have them for life.
Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.

They are soooo smooth and accurate. That's cool you got them for your grand daughters. I wish I had a vaulted room I could display them in, they are so pretty (I have the brass), it's a shame to lock them in my gun safe.

Yes for sure these are all brass and yes they should be on display.
