Hey all
Wondered if anyone has run any comparisons between different ageing vessels? I'm onto my 5th batch (3 rums, 2 whiskies) which will be going in a BadMo barrel (will have four in total soon) and as much as I'd like to age everything in a BadMo barrel, I'm thinking of trying out one of the 5L wood casks you see as they're cheap and easy to get hold of here in the UK.
My first couple of batches were aged in glass jars with some oak staves bunged in the jar with no thought or consideration although at that point I knew even less than I know now and I know slightly more than bugger all at this point.
I wondered if anyone else has any thoughts on ageing in these different vessels and how they've compared?
