Hi my name is Bert I live in south East Queensland Australia, I have just joined your group, I would like to say thank you for inviting me. I have never distilled Alcohol and I came across this group and hopefully I will gain some knowledge that might guide me in making a nice drop.

Welcome Bertel. Best advice, read read read and read all the basics until your eyes are gritty. Distillation seems easy and safe (and it is) like driving a car until you do the wrong thing. This place has a wealth of knowledge with loads of VERY experienced people happy to give advice. Just read as much as you can and if you get bored you'll soon know if its for you or not. Hopefully it will be for you and you'll start your journey. Also Marmite>Vegemite.
