I have distilled 5 batches of fermentation.
I'm using a vevor 9.6 gallon. never used the thumper. I am unhappy with the small condenser, looking to upgrade to closed system so I don't have overflow.
I am learning from errors - don't know what I don't know.
Had one good batch of corn whiskey - It tasted like Ass until I ran it thru a brita filter. Did quick age on 4 jars with 3/4" charred oak, and one scoop of french oak chips. overnight in freezer, then all day on deck in hot sun, removed lid to exchange air, then back into freezer. repeated 5 days, then let sit for 3 weeks. diluted to 90 proof. I love it...not sharing.
I'm looking for advice on a reflux still.

Welcome to HD MJ, to bad you have that garbage but we all have to start somewhere. Having junk to try to get started in this hobby can leave a bad taste in your mouth in more ways than one. Do some research here at HD then build or buy some good and safe equipment it'll be good for your health and make this hobby a real joy. Good luck OMD
Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.

Welcome MJBRO
I'll give you a bit of advice but not about reflux stills.
This forum will not condone the use of a brita filter for filtering spirits.
You need to re access the way you think about this hobby.
Ethanol is not water, brita filters are made of plastic and made to filter water. Ethanol is a solvent and does not mix well with plastics.
Please refrain from further talk of plastics use in this hobby.
