All eager to gain & share Info from this Forum

Post by Dis-Tiller »

Hi Im Dis-Tiller
We live in the lowest state of Aust & have been brewing for several years :shh:
Started with a 6Liter copper pot progressed to a 35liter still spirits sugarwash unit then onto a 65 litre Digiboiler with addons to make a greater still have now advanced our hobby to a 100liter double jacketed boiler Yes Chinese but i can assure you the quality is better than i could get here in Aust
We have done a lot of rum from Molasis & bourbon from grain lately & seems to be what we like doing in our retirement
hoping to gain more experience at all grain with the paddle in the boiler making the job easier
interested in the option of using the jacket with steam rather than Glycol ?
many hours have been spent on reading this forum over the last few years all has been verry encouraging
Hope all are enjoying their distilling journey & hope to do the same :D

Welcome aboard D-T
There are some fine spirits coming out of that state of yours, especially the Scotch style Whisky's.
Your in the right place to do some serious learning , location wise and forum wise.

Thanks Appreciated
Some fine spirits do come out of Tasie but we dont here about them. Must be reserved for tourists.
Dont knoe if they are all grain But would love to know where the corn comes from we can only buy cracked corn from a feed store & have to get rye barley etc from the mainland have asked several (in the Know) people but no response so it seems a secret.

I don't think your looking hard enough , not just for tourists , the rest of the world seems to think they are fairly shit hot to.
Not just this one .......other distilleries there are doing very well too.
