Hi, just joined and enjoyed the reading to assist me. I've been brewing beer for 25 years and wine for 15+ years. I've been reading about distilling on this site and appreciate the help. Starting to distilling some old wine and will rerun to get the smell out. Thank you for the links to help me! 🍺

Hi and welcome.

I've stripped several batches of my own wines that were unwanted for whatever reason, then watered down and run again through my reflux setup and made neutral from it, which is then ultimately made into Gin.

Very satisfying!

Hi MooseMan,
My friend (he has his own brewery) was storing a 26 gallon reflux still and loaned it to me and provided the old wine to run the old wine. I have accumulated a substantial amount of 176 proof that has been run 2 to 4 times. The base taste is much better and I will begin looking for recipes/suggestions to use.
A question: The equipment also came with an Onion and I have been looking/reading for how I could convert this to a pot still with what I have available so as not to spend anything unless necessary. If there is an area or some additional sites that you are aware of that I could use I would appreciate it.
thanks!

Here you go, this area is all about still builds, use the search function and you'll find lots and lots of info.

viewforum.php?f=18

Do a bit of reading, then start a thread providing as much info and pics as possible, you should get offered plenty of help.
