Hello there!

Post by ciott »

Hey, all. My wife and I own North River Vodka, which is distilled from potatoes grown in Kalkaska, Michigan, by Iott Seed Farms, the farm where I grew up. It's owned by my two brothers and a nephew of ours. Our vodka is distilled by Grand Traverse Distillery in Traverse City, Michigan, so while I have interest in distilling I am not a distiller.

Welcome to the forum. There are several distilleries in Washington State that buys their alcohol and then infuses different flavors. One of the distilleries sells flavored Tequila and they are able to call it tequila because the alcohol is produced in that part of Mexico.

Hey, welcome!
There are two types of people in this world.
1. Those that can extrapolate from incomplete information.

Hi there ciott and welcome .
Vodka from spuds comes up quite often on the forum .
I’m sure there is a lot you can share .

We do however , ask all our Commercial guys to put their DSP number in the Signature .

As we are a Home distiller forum , It just helps when discussing volumes and quantities to differentiate between Home distilling size verses Commercial .

Welcome ciott.

So many distilleries out there producing vodkas, especially those just starting out. Quite interested in what you can share about your general distilling processes and approach to profitability using... potatoes!
