Hello!
Hi new member here from North Idaho. My wife got me a still (5 liter)for my 65th B day. I've been brewing beer for nearly 40 years so some of this is very familiar and others not so much.
I'm an avid fly fisherman among a few other hobbies.

Welcome to HD wineslob, I love north Idaho, my family is from there got a good friend just out of St. Maries. Your brewing experience will serve you well in this hobby. If you get hooked and you probably will you'll want a bigger still soon. What is it you are looking to make? Enjoy the ride. OMD

Re: Hello!
Thanks for the responses! Fly fishing is amazing and I try to fish several times a month. Ill be "fully" retiring this April so I'll have more time for fishing and distilling.
Quick question. Can you split up a larger "beer" say, 5 gallons, for distillation in a tiny still (5 ltr) so the whole distilled amount can then be run, approx a gallon (going by avg. yield). Any issues?. I tried search but didn't get what I was looking for.
