I've been reading your forums for about a year now but because I'm only 2 years into my distilling hobby I never thought I'd write something here because of my lack of experience(did not even know what I don't know
). Well, the time has come for me to start asking weird questions and hoping there is some mad scientist here who can answer them I'm ashamed to say I have not made any whisky yet but I have made some interesting spirits I am a bit proud of.
I made an elderflower spirit, hazelnut spirit, and some grain vodka, the recipe for which I got on this forum(Ted's Fast Fermenting Vodka).
Still very much a newb with my grandad's 35l pot still learning the ins and outs. Troubled times tho when energy prices are through the roof and I'm resorting to burning wood.
Also working on a custom still I might one day show off here if it's not a total flop because I am reinventing the wheel in some aspects.
