Hello hello!
New poster somewhat middling time reader. Excited to be here and be with like minded people. Definitely going to be jumping into the building forums after this and so advice on my post there will be greatly appreciated. (Also I’m not very tech savvy so please forgive any slight mess ups.)
About me: I have worked in the restaurant and alcohol industry in multiple ways for several years off and on. I actually worked for a distillery in my younger years where I helped with production (running the still and bottling) and other aspects of the job. Currently looking to revive my passion for production and experimentation to go with my passion for consumption. Only one chance to guess what my preferred spirit is.
Cheers!

@OlympicMtDoo thank you for your reply and warm welcomes! Yes the name is a little on the nose, or should I say username. Now if only I can find a good source of peat will I become a very happy home hobbyist. I absolutely have to thank my previous experience for helping me get to where I am and once I have all of my stuff built I may contribute some things to the new distillers forums or some others on the inside scoop of what mass production and its rules can be like. (Hint it’s fun but legally a giant pain in the ass here in the US. I’d almost say that the TTB and ABC hate the legal guys more than they hate home hobbyists.) I will admit I was absolutely spoiled that my first ever still to run was the distillery still, being hand designed by our owner and made for industrial use. It’s a standard design but boy was it pretty. Unfortunately I won’t be able to share names and photos because we were and it still is a very small crew (4 people for the entire business) and so sharing any of that has greater likelihood of myself getting exposed than I’m comfortable with.
