I’m gettin’ old
Yesterday I had a tiny bit of Crows Run left in a half gallon jar. Figger’d I would just put it in a smaller, pint jar and clean up. Reached in the closet for a jar and WHAT THE HELL? There was 16 pints of white dog! Goddam! Checked my records and my last run was August. I must have finished airing the product and the grand kids were coming over for supper, so I put them on the canning shelf and forgot ‘em. 4 month old white dog is damned good! Guess tomorrow I’ll make some cuts and oak some hearts, but tonite… Very, Very Merry Christmas!

Out of sight, out of mind.
About a year ago, I found a gun I had impulse purchased several years prior when I was in the gun store to pick up some tax stamp items.
I brought that revolver home and put the case up on a shelf in my closet. I figured I'd get to it later, the most important thing on my mind that day was the NFA registered items I had waited 51 weeks for.
Well, the memory of that purchase had faded long before the novelty of the other items, and I completely forgot about it.
Fast forward a few years and I'm in the closet looking for the case for my 1911, and come across a case that's heavier than the other empty cases. When I opened it , I was completely surprised to find a brand new revolver that I'd never so much as taken out of the box once it passed over the counter into my possession.
I haven't forgot a single jar of spirits yet though.

Well, in all honesty not 16 ‘full’ ones. Seems like 13 and 14 developed a leak. That or there’s some damned alcohol thieve’n snake around here.

Nice find Yonder, I've had a couple very similar finds myself and it's been a real treat. One of he few good things about gettin older...you can hide your own Easter eggs. OMD
