New distiller from New Hampshire.

Post by Kherkus »

Well....

I'm amongst some of the luckiest people living in this country for the reason in my title.

Before I even considered ordering my first still, I made absolutely certain that it was legal to distill alcohol in my state by calling the state liquor board. Twice.

I've been an aficionado of Scotch whiskey for some time now. Recently started expanding my pallet into Irish whiskey, rye, Bourbon, etc.

And, like most people, I figured it would be less costly to make my own.

After watching Jesse's (Still It) video about breaking down the costs, it actually works out for me because I'm also interested in the hobby of it. So, the time that I spend distilling is time well spent.
I love tinkering and experimenting with all kinds of things and I'm eager to see what I can do.

Good or bad.
