I’ve seen a few people here saying that they tried sugarheads, UJSSM, etc, and that they just don’t stand up to an all grain whiskey. I agree. But that means they’re left with all this faux whiskey that they don’t really want to drink. That inspired me to start this thread.
What are some of your favorite guilty pleasures when it comes to booze? Yeah, it’s not a 30 year old single malt, but it still makes you happy.
I’ll start things off with one that I think has no right to be as good as it is. 2:1 Mountain Dew and anything in the whiskey sphere. I have heard that Mountain Dew was originally designed and sold as a mixer, primarily for whiskey. It’s been through quite a few revisions since then, but I few that it still plays nicely with anything even somewhat reminiscent of whiskey. So if you’re not living that UJSSM, mix it with Mountain Dew and try not to think about how shameful it is as you enjoy it. Classy cocktail it is not!

Guilty pleasures?
Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough. - Mark Twain
