I've seen the various recipes on the site pertaining to bran/ gerber and cornflake style product. Has anyone made anything out of anything else
in terms of store bought cereal? and to dig a bit deeper, what should I be looking for in the ingredients list of the cereal to help the recipe?
With the ton of different cereals on the markets, there should be a good thread.... maybe not.... *cheers

They say, "you are what you eat"... Then I'm fast, easy and cheap!
Re: different box type cereals
I’ve only done it with a random selection of breakfast cereals left behind by visitors. With 8 years on oak it’s very nice but there’s not much left.
They are unlikely to have preservatives in them. If you like the flavor try it.

Like Chris I've used plenty of random leftovers, pretty much anything grain based will work.
I've used rice puffs, corn flakes, shredded wheat, bran, granola, cinnamon squares, all kinds of oat cereals, all kinds of biscuits, rye bread, malt loaf, leftover flour you name it.
If you want to experiment with them individually, try using Odin's cornflake whisky as a base recipe and change out the cereals for what you have.
