I know that I am new here and you all don't know me, but I would be interested in this. For reference, I'm not too far from the BadMo shop.

Thanks

If the group decides to do this in June, I would likely be able to make it! Although it sounds like a bit of a drive. What are the accommodations again? Camping, hotel, motel?

There is a small RV park, and a couple hotels in town.
RV park has no sewer dump.

I'm very interested in a meet up. I'm in Portland. It would be nice to share ideas with people who are also into it. Never really been able to talk one on one with anyone also in the hobby.

Please keep me updated as you finalize your plans. You're also welcome to meet up at the Badmotivator shop. We have plenty of space to accommodate a group gathering. I'll also let everyone play with tools :)

If there ever was a meet up at the BadMo shop, I could give you all a tour of my vineyard and wine cellar while you are in the area. I'd gladly send you home with wine too :)

I would consider flying in for that. Been too long since I’ve been up that way. Let me know if you guys put something together.

I can bring a solera of the South East tributes as well!
I just read an article about the dangers of drinking that scared the crap out of me.

That’s it. No more reading!

I gotta be honest here guys, life has gotten pretty hectic since I announced my retirement at work. I don't have the time to put put this together, or host this year.

Yeah well I'm supposedly retired too. But I'm a busy body and can't sit still. And momma keeps me running also. But retirement is about doing what you want, not just doing nothing, which could be unhealthy anyways. So keep busy and stay healthy. But I'm really sad I can't attend and meet some of you folk.

I'll keep what I have left  ! So when should we do this? I'm hoping to have some free weekends in June. Otherwise, most afternoon/evenings works for me.

I was just coming to check to see if there will be any PNW meetup this year! My schedule is pretty wide open, have camper will travel  The drinking isn't even the fun part, it's the opportunity to discuss everything with others and hear how they do things their way. I think I learned more that day than I would have if I read this forum for a year! Plus generous sharing of supplies and ingredients

I have a 5 gallon barrel and 2 BadMos of high ester rum, and another BadMo is getting an 85% corn 15% oat bourbon this week. All I've been doing lately is stripping 25 gallons of that recipe over and over to try to fill a 15-25 gallon barrel before winter. My whiskey solera base! :D

Also if anyone is near a Concentrates Inc. store they're a possible gold mine molasses source that needs to get checked out! And report back!

I would be willing to host a day/evening event at our place. Eastern Oregon. July 13th or 20th or August 17th or 24th depending on when we finish
with wheat harvest.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Sorry for the late reply, everyone. It's been a busy spring. How does June 22nd sound? It's just a couple of weeks away, and I can host about 30 people, so there's plenty of room. I'd love to show you all what I've been working on and catch up with everyone.

I'll bring a brisket and tables. If you could bring sides and drinks, that would be great.

Let's start around 11am to give folks time to drive down here.

I can make it down to Eugene on the 22nd, though I’ll have to leave a little earlier than I would like. I’ll bring a side dish and of course some spirits to share.

Time to see how my Badmo tribute rum barrel is coming along.

Thanks for hosting Chris.

Perfect. I might have some smoked pulled pork, but I'll at least bring the cole slaw. None of that store bought shit. Might bring some barbecue sauce too, homemade.
