Just starting

I am just starting out, made a couple runs that taste like rubbing alcohol lol but they came out strong...like 150. I am having an issue and I honestly don't know enough to know what is going wrong. I have a 13gallon still with a small thump and worm I got online. If anybody can help guide me through what I'm doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it. Does anybody look at these anymore?
