Crossing my fingers that someone with experience using Odin's SPP will post here....
I understand that gains from adding packing height on a reflux column becomes less and less beneficial as it gets taller. The common idea here is that a 1:30 width/height is the max anyone should consider, due to efficiency. After this point, any gains are almost non-existent.
My question to you spiral prismatic packing (spp) users is this. Does this concept apply to SPP packed columns also?
I will ask another way... Using spp, would the 1:30 maximum packing ratio still be applicable as the plateau of efficiency, or would it be less?
