I'm Alex from North-East England.
I'm a tattoo artist by trade and have been collecting (and drinking) lots of whiskies for the last 10 years. After meeting a great gentleman on Burns Night here in England, with an even larger love of whisky than mine, he convinced me that I'd love distilling my own.
Well, he was right.
I'm currently on my 3rd run. 1 pear Brandy and a single Malt whisky done so far.
I'm using a 100 litre stainless fermenter and have a 35 litre copper and stainless still with a copper thumper.
I'm a genuine beginner, but love to learn and I'm already blown away with the info on this site. Looking forward to sharing the journey on here.
