Change of scenery for the better

Post by Pookie »

PHEW past week has been a rough one... so basically I split ways with the wife of 10 years due to mutual agreement which is ok...better than fighting and being petty anyway, i load up what I can carry in me economy Chevrolet sedan and my husky and just drove west for about 10 hours before I settled on Colorado. Just was something about seeing the mountains as the sun came up gave me peace... I had mom and dad's obituaries in the sun visor and they fell in my lap then I saw the mountains and knew I was home. Lost about 4 grand in brewing distillation gear but I got my copper 20 gallon and my 8 gallon stainless can...I'm transferred at work to up here so yeah I feel better

If you are away from the front range CO can be nice. Welcome to our little socialist paradise, or jr. California if you will.

You now have a golden opportunity to re-invent yourself.

Best of luck to you.

Not all separations are so civil. Mine wasn't.

You know why divorce is so expensive? BECAUSE ITS WORTH IT!

In all reality it's the best thing I ever did getting out of an unhappy and unhealthy relationship... and I'm 100% better for it.

Wish you the best, it's a hard road but ultimately it's better to be happy

Shame that you had to split, but when it's done mutually, it's the best way it can be for sure.

So now you are on the edge of a new life, I wish you all the luck and hopefully you get a nice quiet place where you can set up and get stilling soon!

Looks like it’s time to start up a Mountain West meetup topic :D
Cheers to new beginnings.

Dang … you drove right past me about 8 hours ago.

Well, “there’s no place like HOME”.

Thanks guys...I'd be interested in a meet thing everyone pick each others brains on their individual styles methods of distillation I gotta figure this damn jeep out now cuz it's probably cheaper repairs than an ecotec 2.4 overhaul. I sauced that car up about every 300 miles, it's knocking like crazy 🤪

I do have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma for sale, 190K miles but runs good. DM if interested. Definitely more reliable than a Jeep
