I live where it costs more to feed my chickens than what I can get for their eggs. I have some experience with fruit wines and beer. So to get as much as Possible from their feed I decided to try and malt, ferment, and distill fuel for the farm. After learning about cuts and deciding that the less desirable stuff for redistillation into fuel grade was actually what I would want for whiskey.
I started with small batches on old glassware setups. Moved on to some cheap amazon stainless pot stills. Now my chickens get all sorts of different spent grains from various projects and egg production has actually gone up. It’s time to get into things a little deeper now. But I’ll need help because alchemy requires knowledge passed from sages on high.
