So has anyone pulled one of these apart yet ?

It’s got me buggered how it looks like there is potentially a column to the side but how would they get the reflux that ends up in the bottom of the column back up to the top of the boiler ?
Pump ? stainless and teflon of course :ewink:

This could solve the big problem of why we need such tall stills . :D

There is a pump. You can hear it running. It starts and stops. I think it's just on a timer.

There is two holes in the top of the unit above the boiler. I believe one is for the vapor and the other is for the pump returning condensate from the bottom of the column.

Thankyou nissarup
That makes sense .

All hypothetical but I’m guessing maybe on a float switch .
Thinking more on demand than a timer , but iff’n you were listening , timer might make sense .

Maybe they do run a timer and a pump that is happy to run dry when done .
Regardless , thanks for the heads up
