Hi All!!

Post by Cutterman »

I’ve read many post from site over the years due to google searches. I’ve recently went a little heavier into distilling since retiring last year. Looking forward to receiving and sharing such great information found throughout the site. I do all electric and have capabilities up to 110l batches. Cheers!

That’s a big batch. Is that your fermenter or still size? Regardless, welcome.

Welcome to the site. 100L is considered here in the forum to be max for home distillers. Have fun with your 100L batches. 8)

I'm mainly a whiskey/Bourbon maker. I do some neutral and vodka but mainly whiskey. I will be making a blackstrap rum here in the next couple of weeks. I'm out of used barrels at the moment and don't want to use a new for rum. If anyone wants a run down on small barrel aging let me know. Nothing smaller than 5L (preferably 10L-20L) as <5 is useless for aging. I've learned many tricks over the years. I may post some learning experiences in the forum on barrel aging.

Welcome to the group Cutterman. Can't think of a better hobby during one's retirement years.
