Yes sir. Every year we do a trip. Usually a 14 day canoe trip. Lots easier to float your gear than to carry it. His friends bailed last minute so I jumped in there. 8 year since my last hike carrying a 47lb pack. Dam I miss ice cubes. I pouring a glass as I type

That is beautiful Bradster, I used to do a lot of hiking, mostly in the Olympic Mts. now I just look at them from my front yard and remember. Too old and busted up to hike anymore but I sure loved it when I did. My wife is from Canada and we still return to visit her family on Vancover Island, what a beautiful place. OMD

Very nice. I'll bet that area is nothing like northern Canada. Probably very jungle like. Did you see any cool animals or insects, maybe some wildflowers and plant life? I always love leaving civilization for a secluded place . No phone,no lights, motor car.lol .
It's a great way to forget about everything for a while. Me and my boy have a real fondness for nature and all it has to offer. Nothing better than a hot tea and watching the wildlife as it wakes up.
This years canoe trip is Lady Evelyn smoothwater. Not sure if I'll ever make it somewhere outside my own country so keep the pics coming.

Thanks! Inwangsan had a landscape that felt different compared to northern Canada's. It was greener and more jungle-like, teeming with interesting animals and plants. Didn't see anything too unusual, but the peace up there was really special.

It seems like you and your boy really know how to enjoy nature's wonders! Canoeing at Lady Evelyn Smoothwater sounds like a dream—wishing you both an amazing time! And I'll try to post more pics. Cheers to that!

On my honeymoon we canoed and portaged the boundary waters in Minnesota. Canoeing is easier but not if you have to get out 3 times a day and carry your gear and canoe to the next lake.

Went to Cheyenne canyon up 7 bridges trail and set up a hammock in the snow melt creek.... VERY NICE and the scenery is great! Ice cold crystal clear water and temperature was 90's!

Last year we hiked the Algonquin highlands. It was then I realized I'm getting a little old to be carrying 50lbs on my back for a week or 2. We agreed (me and my boy) canoeing is much easier on the body. He could care less as he's 26 and his job is laying survey wire in the bush every day,a 50lb roll on his back creating loops for the mining industry,so he's in great shape. So canoeing you can carry more gear as your just floating it down the river. But we do keep our route down to areas of no more than a km portages. That's about all I wanna do before I float everything again

Another week of canoeing with my son. Lady Evelyn smooth water. Beautiful park. Some small mouth Bass for supper, and of course some Bills rum for sipping.
