Plastic

Post by Tammuz »

I just flown into California today. I bought a 1/2 pint of 101 for a train trip. To my surprise it was a plastic bottle.
If your country sells plastic bottles why do you have a ban?

I took it as "why do you have a ban in your country on distilling alcohol when all the stores sell it in plastic bottles"

There are two types of people in this world.
1. Those that can extrapolate from incomplete information.

Uncle Jessie sets the rules and I'm in agreement.
If I were to do something like reuse plastic liquor bottles for storage, I'd keep it to myself.
And never store higher proof than the jugs were original designed for.

Plastic and politics are toxic subjects.
They damage the esprit de corps of homedistilling.

If you look up the specs. for those plastic liquor bottles, the manufacturers say they are single use, so if you re-use them, you are going against their advice.

Threads of this nature rarely if ever lead anywhere good.
The forum rules say
"Thus we simply will not put up with it, and posts about any form of plastic use will be edited, deleted or locked"
