I have been reading this forum for over 7 years. 7 years ago I purchased equipment and made all the newbie mistakes. But years ago u decided to take the hobby seriously and build my own equipment. I am proud to have built my first sub pot from copper.

My goal had been to produce authentic Jamaican style rum using 2 retorts I already have a infected dunder pit for 6 months I have some low wines and high wines ready. I have a 11 gallon copper sub. - 5 gal retort and a 3.5 gallon retort. Just scratching to post some pictures

Congratulations.

I've been thinking of building that style of setup for over thirty years and never gotten around to it so have probably left it too late now.

I wish you well on your journey down the rum rabbit hole.
