Wow that's cool! You know you've hit the big leagues when your kettle has a manway built into it!

Thanks for sharing Reefer .
Always wondered how thick that copper is and how they form them . Thats one big lathe if they spin them but a impressive job if hand Hammered . Also wondered how they stitch the top and bottom together so neatly . I doubt they had TIG welders a century ago .

I think this is the link to the article about them.
https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/247 ... istillery/
12,000l wash pot and 9000l spirit pot!
They talk about the seam too Yummy.
“ Thousands of hours of meticulous handwork have gone into creating their unique shape and beautiful hammered finish. Each still has been crafted with over two million hammer blows to smooth and shape the copper, with the final seam of the spirit still alone receiving over 500,000 blows — a true labour of artistry and dedication,” Ardgowan added.

It didn't say hand hammered but it does say 2 million hammer blows!

Looking at the pictures on their website*, it looks like there's some soldering and hammering going on.

if they ever outlaw still'n, those'd make good septic tanks, anaerobic digesters for methane production.
