Introduction

Post by B4NeverAfter »

Following the rules: I am a long time drinker, first dip in being the maker of those drinks I so love. I’m a mom of 9, granny to 7 so far, know why I drink as I do & have become more interested in producing some of the fine drinks I dip too often & too heavily into (or so some might try to say though I pay no mind to anyone else’s opinion). The hubby & I have made an attempt once upon a long run ago at fruit wine using apricots. Let’s just say it had to be one of the most rare times I refused to drink! So, many moons have past, children are mostly all grown & we have the desire to dive into this love affair I have had for longer than the marriage or even knowing him! I’m intimidated, absolutely welcome any/all advise as I discover & hopefully master some of what can be gained just reading here. Happy to know this is here to reference too. Glad for so much, now trying to share by making worthwhile & tasty along the learning route. Cheers

Welcome to HD! You've found the right place, a little less than a year ago I was in your spot, then I found this place, read everything, then signed up this past summer. I was drinking MY rum last night.

Welcome to the forum B4.

If you want to learn how to make a good drop, you're in the right place.

There's lots of reading to go from here, but it's all worth it and you won't regret it.
Please don't be intimidated, the forum is here for us all to learn and you'll be on the same path that we have all been down as rusty says.

I look forward to your contribution down the line a ways.

Thank you for the greetings & words of encouragement Rusty & MooseMan! I do so appreciate the welcome along with the push to not give up, continue reading & learning. If I am successful with this passion that’s consuming nearly all my free time now and developing into an obsession rather quickly, hope it will lend to good editorial material. Perhaps even provide tasty & satisfying drinks to be shared in many ways before my time is done enjoying it and the process getting there. Now to read on stills so I figure out what I want for the persimmons I have sitting in my kitchen awaiting a start to their next form of life as I make them into what I can, drink, dessert, body scrub, lotion, extract…I’ll share as I create. Cheers
