I've been urging Mrs Cranky for us to buy a 20 acre plot of land I found that ends at a sheer cliff above a town. I really want to build a Victorian style house similar to the one from the Adams family show right at the top of the cliff and blast a tunnel through the rock for a driveway to get to the top. I plan on making something like this the entrance to that tunnel

Cranky this isn’t a Meme but your idea sparked a memory. My wifes cousins live in Drammen Norway. Near their home is a mountain that is used in the winter for skiing. To make driving safer to get to the top they drilled a tunnel that spirals around to drive to the top. They then took all the boulders that they removed making the tunnel and used them to build a breakwater for a marina.
