Re: What is everyone drinking?
I've been sipping through a batch of Corn & Oats sour mash, aged 3 years on charred oak staves. Wow it's really coming together! It's been off the oak for a while now, and the flavors are mellowing into something nice.

Re: What is everyone drinking?
Some newish brandy. My son made wine and it had a fly in it and he didn't want to drink it LOL.
So I cleaned it up. Pretty darn good.

I drink so much now,on the back of my license it's a list of organs I need.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
I'm enjoying the last of my 2014 peach brandy make.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Sampling triple distilled Gold Kiwifruit Brandy that was fast aged three years ago and has been on the same oak ever since. Yummy. It's the first successful product that I've managed to make out of gold kiwifruit. Some of these new gold varieties make very poor wine and liquor compared to the varieties available 60 years ago.

Re: What is everyone drinking?
Have been sipping on some Black Collar golden rum. Pot stilled, small batch, made in the Bay of Islands here in NZ.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Me too, but the gold rum is my own and I mixed it with good old Schweppes ginger ale and a big squeeze of lime. Cheers!
I can’t sing, but I sing.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Yesterday i tried my rum. I made the spirit run two years ago but forgot to make cuts and all (newborn child). Two month ago i did the cuts and started the oak aging. Guess i will give it some more time. The second glas was with coke and this was already very good. Can't wait to do another run. A small wash is fermenting to have a dunder start point for the bigger one next week hopefully.

Tonight I'm celebrating packaging my "Confidently Masculine Cream Ale" with a bit of corn mashed with 5% smoked malt. It's only been aging about 4 months, but it's a tasty drop!

Nice Copper .
I remember that label style .
You had only been into it for a year and you sent me a bottle of your Pot stilled Whiskey . For a beginner , I was totally blown away . It was the nicest Home distilled Whiskey I had ever tasted .

My recommended goto .

Re: What is everyone drinking?
I've been sick this past week so I'm drinking my home made cold and flu remedy, hot tea with honey and apple brandy...it may not cure you but you don't care

I was always taught that the treatment for the flu was to take the juice of a half bottle of bourbon and bed rest.

Double, Double, toil and trouble. Fire Burn and pot still bubble.

Bundaburg Solera .
It’s the top of the range from Bundy . Not cheap .
A Thank-you treat from the inlaws for looking after things while they were away .
Mrs Yummy really likes it . I think it tastes like sweet sickly boring nothing . I’d said I’d prefer a bottle of Bundaberg OP any day . ( and its 1/4 the price ) LOL , she said “fine , I’ll buy you one and I’ll drink this one . “
Looks like we both win
In the meantime , I’m drinking my Rum

Re: What is everyone drinking?
I've tried it Yummy, it's smooth and that's about it. If I'm buying a 50 buck bottle I want it to be smooth.
If I'm forking out 200 plus, it's got to have flavour and different notes.
I reckon you can cut tight and age long and end up with a product that you can drink neat and that's great, it's just a bit meah.....
