US Surgeon General issues call for cancer warning
I just read an article about the dangers of drinking that scared the crap out of me.
That’s it. No more reading!

Likely an additional sign of tough times ahead for commercial producers, especially the little guys without any other sources of revenue.
As a consumer, though, I think that health warnings aren't necessarily a bad idea -- so long as I am free to ignore them (and the government doesn't use it to impose new restrictions on access), its better to be informed than not.

TTB has already regulated the alcohol has to have the pregnancy health warning. Consumer protection labels ain't a new thing.
There are two types of people in this world.
1. Those that can extrapolate from incomplete information.

I have 0 f*cks to give about this.
Fear and ridicule are the tactics of weak-minded cowards and tyrants who have no other leadership talent from which to draw in order to persuade.

I agree with being informed. But I won't necessarily make life changing adjustments over a lable. Overuse of alcohol, food or many other things can be detrimental to our health. I don't believe we should live in fear that everything is out to kill us or make us sick. My Mom was very health conscious, never smoked, would have a hot toddy very occasionally, ate healthy diet and vitamine supplements. She got cancer anyways.
I've had a motto for 40 years or more "eat right, keep fit, die anyways" . Can't live in a bubble.
Cheers

I've read so many warnings about the risks of alcohol, tobacco and sex.
That I've decided to do more of the above and less time reading.
