I’m a full time EMT for the last 6 years and pursuing a degree in Biology and chemistry.
My interests include:
Biology and chemistry
Obscure history
Running
Brandy
Whiskey
And enough fabrication work to make me start pulling my hair out.

My attention was really drawn to distilling for the ability to use hard sciences I am passionate about in an artistic and sometimes historically accurate way.

Glad you are here. Sounds like a bunch of interests, and many of them are certainly complimentary to the craft.

Time to read till your eyes bleed.

I first caught the bug April of last year and I will admit if the hobby was more cost friendly to jump straight in I probably would have. That said, I am extremely glad I didn’t do that and that I actually did the required reading on the site first and started reading through what others were doing that interested me as well.

I did my first run in December and it turned out pretty decent. I had hiccups but I am pleased with it and I have a pear mash brandy and an apple mash brandy both fermenting(I came into some free fruit and the easiest way to store 6 bushels of apple is behind the bar lol)
