Old wash

Post by American newbie »

What is the consensus on reusing wash? I use a sugar wash and the first run I only pull 900 mil out for a spirit run (out of a gallon) I reuse my "mash" or wash in the next batch. Am I better starting new or recycling old wash?

Recycling backset is a trick used to concentrate flavors when making the likes of rum and whisky, not something that I would do in my shed when making neutral. For neutral, I don't recycle anything, saving up the feints for an All Feints run.
