hmm...so I guess I will wait till summer and start this again? I do have 2 more rum runs I need to do. Would there be any benifit or flavor in what I have now? Should I add some of this to my low wines when I do my spirit run or just chuck it? I'm only out a banana and a potato.
Any Dunder for your next fermentation will be better than none .
Else , you’ll be back at square one .
I’ve been making Rum for over a decade now and
I’ve never really done the festy Dunder pit thing . But I always add Dunder to the next fermentation .
I see you have a mid draw on your Dunder bucket . Perfect .
Next time you make a fermentation , draw off 10% of the volume you are making . Boil it up and add the molasses to dissolve . Then top up with cold water . ( add Epsom salts etc )
Also add , I try to keep twice as much Dunder than I need for next ferment .
Just in case . I’ve had a disaster and lost a batch . I still have a backup of Dunder to start another Fermentation
