My post above from April 26 shows a copper connected valve as you describe. A three way valve that directs input to either the thumper or PC so there is no chance of creating a bomb.

Yes, I know. And a beautiful construction too. I thought about this construction. But I never have seen such a valve, so I thought of a different construction. When I see a 3-way 15 mm valve, I will buy it!

I thought 15 mm threaded copper fitting’s were compatible with 1/2” NPT threads? I did a quick search for mating 15mm with 1/2” NPT and the results say it is doable, though you may need PTFE tape if mating a tapered thread (NPT) with a straight thread like BSP. They do make BSPT threads (tapered).
I’m in the US so I see many places carrying 1/2” 3-way stainless ball valves for 20-30 bucks US.
