Introducing taylor-madeak

Post by taylor-madeak »

So, this forum requires new community members to write a short introduction post in this section. I've been a homebrewer since 1999, but lately being diabetic has shifted my interests more into spirits - primarily rum and rye.

If some of you are familiar with the sake brewing community, you may recognize my username. :) I mention sake here because I noticed a thread about it in another section of this forum, and I may be of use to answer questions for anyone who is interested in that aspect of the homebrewing hobby.

If you can make beer or a whisky wash, then you already have most of the skills required for making sake. :D At the end of the day you're still just converting grain starch into sugar, and then into alcohol.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I followed your procedure a few years ago and made a fine batch of Sake. You might remember me, my wife and I stopped by your house several years back.
