oh so sweet.

Post by Oom Boom »

Some reasoning please. I made a lemon orange brandy, mainly lemon with a few oranges thrown in. About 2 kg sugar to a 18 lt wash. I fermented this lot dry and double pot distilled it.
The result is a very nice brandy, but it is soooooo sweet ? How ? How can it taste sweet after all its been through ?
Its strong, nice, enjoyable but quickly becomes to cloyingly sweet.

I cant be tasting sugar ?
