One thing to keep mind is the reflectix is conductive and needs an air space to really do it,s job but will help some. It reflex the heat back and needs the air space to do that. Looks good though.

Do you think a fleece blanket between each layer of Reflectix would work well? They're not real thick and not thin like a sheet.

Apparently fleece (polyester fibers) melt at temperatures typically ranging from 250°C to 260°C (482°F to 500°F) so that shouldn't be a problem.

It is the air barrier that gives the insulation value. Looks great and will help some.

I used a multi layer loft insulation blanket on my second build, as there was some available to me.
It's got many thin layers to it and naturally wants to be puffy and full of air unless you compress it.
It let's out NO heat from the boiler walls whatsoever.

Use 2 discs of wall insulation batten on each end, and you have a very well insulated boiler.

I also insulate my riser for strip runs, removing it on a spirit run.

You can see how far the insulation puffs out beyond the keg width.

total cost $969 , ( ready to boil water for your shrimp and crawdad eating party ) I added flux and solder in the total . I did not add tools, drill bits, acid brushes, torch , mapp gas ,saws and other nice to haves that were added to my collection.
I see others with much less price, but I have exactly what i wanted, with drain and pump. The bonus was I learned a few things about soldering, I had the most fun building the regulator box. I never messed with 240 vac , its ok , keep one hand in back pocket.

disclaimer time: Do not build this if your not safety minded and have mid level mechanical skills and basic electrical knowledge.
Wear full face safety mask if grinding. Soldering is highly dangerous due to breathing gases from flux and dripping and splashing solder on your flip flops.When working with 240 vac, turn off breaker before attaching anything you build to your dryer outlet. It can burn your place down.
Your mileage may vary. You are responsible for your mistakes. You will draw attention to yourself if the neighbors see this project. They are not your friends.

Here’s mine, upgraded from a 3 gallon vevor. It works way better, I haven’t cut into it yet and can choose between the 15.5 gal or the 7.5 gal boiler
