We moved to our current house about 12 years ago and we have 1/2 acre with a large garden area (1200 sq), 4 grape vines (all different varieties) that were that are 67 years old, one year I counted 11 wheel barrels of grapes! We also planted a few few fruit trees, 2 pear, 3 apple, 1 apricot and 2 asian plumbs. And of course we have chickens!
We have made wine, vinegar and hard cider/bubbly wines. All with various levels of success and failure. We use a steamer for juicing. Currently we have about 30 gallons fermenting. We use Carboys and food grade buckets. I bought a Still some years ago and I have never used it yet. This year I hope to take a batch or two and try out the distiller to make brandy with grape wine.
