Greetings All, I have some 50abv gumball , I wanted to try a apple Pie.
I have 1 quart of this, mrs thinks it should be a bit sweeter.
I want to try your apple pie suggestions. Here is what I have to offer.
I think it is good, but I have never tried it anywhere ever so who knows what I have.
This will become gifts as we all start to attend parties.
Apple Pie Moonshine Recipe (Makes 1 Quart)
Ingredients:
Apple Juice: 1 cup (240 mL)
Apple Cider: 1 cup (240 mL)
Brown Sugar: 1/2 cup (packed, about 100 g)
Allspice: 1/4 teaspoon
Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon Sticks: 2 small sticks
Alcohol (50% ABV): 16 oz (480 mL)
Prepare the Base Liquids:
In a medium saucepan, combine the apple juice and apple cider. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it is warm but not boiling.
Add the Brown Sugar:
Stir in the brown sugar until it is fully dissolved into the warm liquid.
Add Spices:
Add the allspice and cinnamon sticks to the warm mixture. Stir well to incorporate.
Simmer the Mixture:
Reduce the heat to low and let the liquid simmer for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the flavors to infuse. Keep an eye on it and stir occasionally. Once it’s simmered, remove from the heat.
Add Vanilla Extract:
Stir in the vanilla extract once the liquid has cooled slightly.
Cool Down:
Let the spiced apple mixture cool completely to room temperature. This is important, as adding the alcohol while the mixture is too hot can alter the taste and potentially affect the alcohol.
Combine with Alcohol:
Once cooled, pour the spiced apple mixture into a quart-sized jar or bottle. Add the 50% ABV alcohol Stir or shake gently to mix.
Infusion Time:
Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for at least 2-3 days to allow the flavors to meld together. If you want a stronger flavor, let it sit for up to a week or longer, shaking it gently every day
