A slow return - but I have returned

Post by kiwi Bruce »

Last week of March (this year) I suffered a stroke. Not fun and still some "not fun" to come. One of my heart valves threw the clots that caused it, now I'm facing open heart surgery, Oh joy! Fun Fun Fun! NOT ! ! ! :lolno: I'm doing the preliminary testing now, I could be under the knife before the end of the year. I'll try to post again before I go to surgery.
The silver lining ... I put down a UJSSM that aged beautifully (using Oden's protocol) and I took my time (yes I did have a lot of that) and let it age 6 months. This is the best sipping Bourbon I've ever made, pure joy in a bottle. I'll have another started before November starts.
So the restrictions next year will be outrageous. For a start, and I'd never thought of this... I can't shoot a rifle for at least a year! The recoil could make the sternum split again, Don't want that! So I'll try to keep you informed.
All that fun we had growing up...We pay for as we grow old.
