Pre-90 McDees Fried Apple Pies

Using stiff sourdough enriched recipe with lots of butter to recreate the pies if my childhood. Didnt eat at that chain for over 20 years but went back once to get an apple pie. Nothing like my memory. Maybe it was just childhood tastes? No, apparently the industrial lamination of many folds of fat sealed into the pies led to some customers getting severe burns in chest, chins, hands, tongue. Must a bin a law suit there because post 90s they bake them, thicker crust, less fat and sugar and drier filling. Everything went south and what i fell in love with no longer exists. No blistering, greasy, shattering crust shell with the drippy good stuff inside and that old mouth burn that sits with me like lost time worth searching for.

Somewhere between hurry up and time is irrelevant.
