Found an article from 1921 where my great-great grandaddy was busted

Thought Id share this for yall. My family has a history of this. My pawpaw had a few run ins with the ATF and had a couple of wild west type shoot outs over his liquor back in the day. I know it may not be a badge of pride for alot of people but it is for me.

I'm originally from West Alabama, close but not quite as crazy as Calhoun and Talladega Counties.
My sister has lived there for 50 years and the Brother In Law is a retired Talladega County Deputy.
We haven't specifically talked about it, but I'm pretty sure COMMERCIAL moonshining is still alive and well in that neck of the woods.

Oh Im sure it is. Over here on this side of the state the Appalachian culture is still pretty strong. I always tell people we're the last stop of those mountains so come get a little taste before the land levels out
