Still Flavor Topper Question / Advice

Hi all,
I bought a 3 gallon copper still from a company that is no longer in business, I had the still in storage for several years and now I am ready to use it. The still has a flavour topper my question will this topper act like a forced second distillation? I have searched the internet and I do not find any information if this still performs well and if the design is a good one, any thoughts, comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Also should I buy a table top burner? Thanks to all.
