Vevor pot as a thumper?

. I have an 8 gallon pot still from a known brand but I don't have a thumper. I however ordered the 3 gallon vevor still with plans to turn the pot from it into the thumper for my 8 gallon. I need to run the copper lines from the vevor lid. Any suggestions? Will this work?.
