Vinegar and sacrificial run done through my dream still

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

Vinegar and sacrificial run done through my dream still

Post by N00b »

Just ran vinegar and a sacrificial run through my new Oak Stills 13 gallon jacketed still.

It’s awesome. Heats up fast on 2x2kw elements, runs great, and all around a massive upgrade from my stovetop 4 gallon alembic I’ve been using for that past few years.

The last thing I need is a large container for cooling water and I’m off to the races. I have two 12ish gallons of pure oatmeal ready to go.

Got this thing for my birthday just now and I think I’m in love. I think I need to give her a name.
