turbo 500 with Jesse modifications

I want to use my turbo 500 for stripping runs.Jesse recommends seperate water supply for the reflux and condenser .From what I can gather I remove the saddles from the reflux bit but I don't know how the water is managed ie does the reflux bit get water and if so how much or is it only the condenser? And if just the condenser how much water? I plan to instal a thermometer in the top of the column to wok in conjunction with the one which is supplied
