Newcomer acquiring knowledge

Hey folks,I'm a basic newbie to the distilling world, less than a year in.But already have the fever.I started out with a 5gal vevor stove top, and got "hooked".I've been brewing my own beer for most of my life, this craft just goes to the next phase after fermentation. Since my intro to distilling I've built me a 55gal SS barrel still with a 10gal copper thumper as well as a "keg" still with a reflux column. My main reason for getting into distilling is my need for high proof alcohol for my herbal extractions..thus the reason for building the reflux column. I'm just an ol' Missouri "hillbilly" who has more energy than sense or money...so most of my "gadgetry" and equipment is all home built. I will be stalking and reading post mainly...absorbing info...but if I can solidly add something I will, I don't "yak" for the sake of "yaking" thanks for having me.
